Foreign Affairs
Venerable foreign policy magazine gets a modern day design
Foreign Affairs, a publication from the Council on Foreign Relations selected Concentric Studio to rethink and redesign their online presence. The site represents a significant new brand expression and enhancement for Foreign Affairs, a pre-eminent publication on international affairs and foreign policy, published by the Council on Foreign Relations since 1922.
In planning and redesigning the site, Concentric Studio created a vibrant, rich user experience that provides subscribers with unprecedented access to original online-only content, all print archive articles which date back to 1961 as well as the inclusion of several new interactive features to foster Foreign Affair’s online community. The site also features a completely revamped registration and e-commerce system enabling non subscribed visitors the ability to preview and purchase individual articles, books and other features.
We worked closely with the Foreign Affairs team as well as the development team, Palantir, to rethink the overall site structure and user experience to better accommodate the new site content, features and functionality planned for the redesign. We overhauled all the primary user task flows to help make the process for site registration, subscription and e-commerce more efficient, effective and intuitive throughout.
“In addition to the overall architecture, navigation and design, we are especially excited by the creative and responsive user interface Concentric Studio has developed for our subscribers and registered visitors. Concentric Studio and Foreign Affairs share a commitment to new ideas and smart solutions, and it was refreshing to work with a design studio in which the principals worked alongside us throughout the entire process.” — David Kellogg, Publisher of Foreign Affairs.
We couldn’t be happier with the results and we wish Foreign Affairs continued success with the new site.
