A leading provider of hosting solutions gets an online brand revamp

Logicworks, a leading managed services hosting provider specializing in complex architectures and high-availability solutions selected Concentric Studio to redesign its public site as well as its client application, LogicOps. Logicworks provides 24/7 coverage and support for business critical applications and content and was recently selected in Inc. Magazine’s second annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States with 114% growth recorded from 2004 through 2007 (As posted by Inc. Magazine).

The fast rise of Logicworks, coupled with their ongoing support for their growing client operations, left little time for the company to focus on the design of their own site and internal applications. Concentric Studio was selected to redesign the Logicworks public site as well as the client application, LogicOps.

We started the project by focusing on the Logicworks public site. The site design entailed much more than a fresh coat of pixel paint—we worked closely with members of the Logicworks staff to craft a new design that captured the company’s identity, personality and capabilities. This work included revamping the overall information design of the site, putting in place a better framework to update the site content and communicate new information about the company’s products and services. With the new information design in place, we developed multiple design concepts and worked in an iterative approach to finalize the design and extend it to all site templates.

Under the hood, we implemented a more flexible structure and modular construction to enable future expansion and functionality for the site. The front end templates were developed to support this structure, so common modules could be placed in all site templates and easily modified or updated. 

Since the launch, we have heard nothing but raves from Logicworks and their clients about the new site. With the public site completed, we turned our attention to the redesign of the LogicOps site. We’ll keep you posted when it’s done.
